Life of Litter™ — Citizen Science Data Collection and Public Engagement Platform

Designed a geospatial program, funded by a National Academies of Sciences grant, that turns students in grades 3–8 into citizen scientists: everyday volunteers who collect data for real research
Engaged students in collecting, mapping, and analyzing litter in their own communities, turning data into action
Built a mobile survey to record georeferenced litter observations, including location, material, category, and a photo
Launched the Life of Litter Hub site, whose live dashboard maps student data to show patterns and hotspots

Tree Inventory Platform

Designed a centralized urban forestry platform for a regional nonprofit managing nearly 100,000 trees across about 90 percent of a Louisiana parish
Consolidated scattered records into one authoritative hosted feature layer with a standardized schema for species, condition, location, and inspection history
Deployed ArcGIS Field Maps and Survey123 so crews and trained volunteers can update records in the field
Built a live dashboard that tracks inventory coverage, tree condition, and maintenance activity to support data-driven decisions

Hurricane Katrina and Rita Significant Maps

Principal served as a Senior GIS Analyst for FEMA's Geographic Information Unit (GIU) where 22 to 45 Federal and Contract employees produced approximately 7,500 unique map products
Compiled most frequently utilized spatial data and map products from GIU, all using ESRI ArcGIS™ software
Encompassed a variety of data sets created in the GIU; data from fieldwork; data from Emergency Support Function sections or previously existing data
Provided critical decision-making tools vital to the managers of response, rescue, relief, recovery, and rebuilding efforts

Mapping Backwind Trajectories

GIS principles and tools were used to map ozone backwind trajectories
This was the first time GIS technology was used to map ozone backwind trajectories
Using GIS applications aids greatly in communicating complex environmental issues and regulatory compliance

FluidViz™ — Enterprise Asset Management and Mobile Field Data Collection

Designed and deployed FluidViz™, an ArcGIS® Enterprise solution that brings asset management, monitoring, and maintenance together on one platform for a regional water utility
Built mobile data collection in ArcGIS® Field Maps so crews can inspect and update valves, hydrants, service lines, and bacteriological sampling sites
Automated inspection workflows that save every field update to a permanent, queryable inspection history

Disaster Preparedness Tabletop Exercise — Offline Mapping for Emergency Response

Built an offline mapping capability for a coastal water utility in one of Louisiana's most hurricane-exposed regions
Designed a parish-wide quadrant grid, scalable to statewide coverage, that lets field crews pre-download their service areas and keep working offline
Facilitated a tabletop exercise that used the utility's own data to simulate a total communications outage
Trained staff to create and maintain offline map areas as part of their standing emergency protocol

GIS Maturity Assessment (GMA)

Developed a structured assessment that measures an organization's GIS capabilities across three tiers: Foundational, Intermediate, and Advanced
Produced scored maturity profiles that set a defensible baseline and flag key-person and data-continuity risks
Delivered prioritized roadmaps that tie each finding to a corrective action, an owner, and a target tier
Designed it to work in any industry and to be repeated every 12–24 months so progress can be tracked over time
